Tablet: no pressure support?
hi! i have an HP Touchsmart TX2 laptop running Windows Vista Home Premium but i don't seem to have pressure support with the tablet surface. i do have pressure support in ArtRage.

Artweaver uses the WinTab interface to get pressure information. So please make sure that you have installed WinTab drivers for your tablet.
You will get them normally from HP or directly from the manufacturer of the tablet surface.

the surface is N-Trig technology, and supposedly uses the newer Microsoft InkAPI instead of WinTab (which they say is being deprecated). guess that means Artweaver's no good for me. thanks anyway!

WinTab is not really deprecated as written by N-Trig. They only needed very long time to provide drivers for WinTab and this statement was one possible excuse. Btw from this delay not only Artweaver was affected...
I've already plans to add support for the Microsoft InkAPI in Artweaver but not all features provided by WinTab are supported here.

N-Trig has provided WinTab drivers? that would be great news! do i download them separately?

The WinTab drivers are available on the download page of N-Trig. There is also the following KB article telling that they now have WinTab drivers:

In order to enable pressure sensitivity, you need you download and install the WinTab API driver from our Downloads section.
